    From August 10 through August 15, the Health Science Library will be unavailable as the move to their new location.

    Cudahy & Lewis Libraries are sponsoring the FOOD FOR FINES campaign November 1st to 23rd, 2011. Up to $2.50 in overdue fines will be forgiving at the Cudahy & Lewis Libraries for each donation from the following list of approved items:

    1 (6 oz.) can of meat, fish or poultry
    1 (14 oz. or more) can of vegetables of fruit
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can of soup
    6 packages of ramen noodles
    1 box of pasta, rice or dried beans
    1 (12 oz) or more) box of cereal
    1 (8 oz. or more) jar of peanut butter
    Or personal care items, e.g. full-sized soaps, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, etc.

    From Tuesday, November 1 to Wednesday, November 23, 2011, all donations go to the Lakeview Pantry Emergency Food Distribution.

    We regret that this campaign does not apply to fees pertaining to lost books, ILL fines, IC charges, Digital Media Lab fines.

    Reminder: Please use the pre-printed out-of-order signs that are kept at the Circulation desk or at the Reference desk for machines that are out of order. These signs have space to write in what is wrong with the equipment and a note regarding service calls. Please fill out the form as completely as possible. Please do NOT type up out-of-order signs.

    All videos must be booked in advance before they can be used (or viewed) in the library. We had a person come in to say they were told they can just come in a view a video. If the person needs to RUSH book something, they must follow the procedure on this URL: http://libraries.luc.edu/services/avservices.htm#request. Rush requests are processed only from 8:30 am to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
