Trial for Naxos Music Library

February 18th, 2008 by Resources

We are running a trial of Naxos Music Library until the end of March.

Naxos Music Library is the largest collection of stream-able classical music online.  It allows you to search for music by genres including Classical, Contemporary Jazz, World/Folk, Adult Contemporary, Chinese Music, and Pop and Rock.  Whilst listening, you can read notes on the works as well as biographical information on composers and artists.

The ‘Study Area’ is for use in the classroom by teachers to supplement their resources or independently by students to broaden their musical knowledge.  The pages are divided into topics, which have been carefully selected to cover many of the areas of study which students encounter during GCSE or A level studies.

The ‘Junior Section’ is a wonderful, interactive way to introduce children to classical music.  They can learn about specific instruments of the orchestra, which is loads of fun, and listen to music created just for them.

Please note pop up blockers must be disabled for the playlists to function properly.
