jianping1.jpg From the Cultural Revolution to the Olympic Games: Changes in China over half a Century China has undergone a great political, social and economical transformation over the last 50 years. These changes also altered individual lives. Jian Ping, author of Mulberry Child: A Memoir of China will give a personal account of the devastating impact of the Cultural Revolution on individuals. She will also offer an insider’s view on how personal values changes with the economic development, and how the Chinese citizens responded to hosting the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
