Bring your lunch! Beverages and light dessert provided.

Please join us as Hanzhe Zhang, a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Chicago, discusses his summer research at Loyola’s Women and Leadership Archives (WLA). Zhang uses game theory, a branch of applied mathematics, to understand education and marriage patterns. He will discuss his investigation into why more women than men have been going to college in the United States since the early 1990s, touching on a historical perspective.

The WLA offers annual summer research grants to support and encourage scholarly research on women and their contribution to society, by utilizing WLA records. Zhang is a 2014 summer research grant recipient.
