March 2011

In the last few days, two “high value” items (one wallet, one student ID) have been located in the lost and found cabinet.

Please remember that, “All credit cards, driver’s licenses, wallets, state IDs, Loyola University IDs, CTA UPASSes, checks, passports, cell phones, and other items of significant value (some types of jewelry, iPods, digital cameras, etc.) should be turned over to the IC supervisor on duty immediately.” per the Lost and Found Policy on the IC Staff Blackboard site.

In the past couple of days there have been increased instances of markers not being discharged. Please keep the practice of immediately discharging the box of markers so that the patrons don’t continue to receive fine notices.

Susan just forwarded me the message below. Apparently this only affects campus card use with printers, but the problem may or may not be resolved by the weekend.

According to ITS

There is a problem with ID’s in general. They have them off-line. So, student’s ID’s should be working with uniprint. BUT it will show the incorrect amount ($200.) on their cards.

The system WILL remember the amount they print and deduct it from their balance when it comes back online.

Ask me if you have questions.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your diligence in logging the reference desk transactions. Just as a refresher please review the “Question Type” listing in the blue binder or under “Question Type” on the Library statistics page. This will really help me when I am reviewing the statistics each week.

Thank you and all best,
